About Manuela
I am a Translation undergrad student, studying to become a French to English certified translator and I am about to begin my third and final year of studies. Prior to doing my undergrad in Translation at university, I completed a two-year college program where I studied English, French, Spanish and German. I have worked one-on-one with kids, tutoring them in various subjects such as French and English.

I like to base my teaching off of what the student is already learning to reinforce that. I also like to then add some additional material to solidify the learning and ensure that the student really has understood everything. I like to use textbook methodology with examples, although I am aware that not every student learns that way. If I see that my student does not understand what I'm explaining using this methodology, I'll switch to a more hands-on approach or to an approach that gives the student more examples of what I'm conveying. If the student learns through practice, then games and activities in addition to practice sheets are what I like to use. I understand that not every student learns the same way and I am more than willing to adapt my style to each individual.
