About Josie

I bring over 5 years of teaching experience and an MSc in Mathematics to every tutoring session. My expertise lies in numerical methods, approximation techniques, and solving equations, integration, and differential equations with computational tools. I work extensively with engineering students, computer science majors, and those in quantitative finance. My teaching focuses on making advanced mathematics clear and practical. I blend theory, computation, and real-world applications for deep learning. I encourage students to think critically and creatively. My aim is to help them gain confidence and mastery. Together, we explore mathematics as a powerful tool for solving real problems.

About the lesson

My method in teaching mathematics is patient and reflective, focusing on deep conceptual understanding. I teach calculus, pre-calculus, abstract algebra, number theory, mathematical proofs, and other advanced concepts. I encourage students to connect ideas rather than memorize formulas. DIY learners and researchers are supported in developing their own approaches to problems. Lessons blend theory with hands-on examples to strengthen understanding. I foster a space where questions lead to clarity. Mistakes are embraced as part of learning. My goal is to help students develop confidence and creativity in mathematics. I guide them to discover a new way of thinking about mathematics.
