About Jem

My life is divided between working as professional drummer and drum tutor. I currently play in 8 different bands, including The Thurston Moore Group and a whole host of other projects spanning a wide range of genres. When I'm not on tour I love to teach, record and gig as often as possible. As well as touring for over 10 years, I have 20 years teaching experience and therefore have a lot to offer. I like to engage the student, find out what makes them tick and throw challenges their way.

About the lesson

Covering the basics, technique but also conversationally find out what areas the student would like to look at.

I'm happy to come to a student's house but also happy to hire a room at Gun Factory Studios (Homerton), The Vortex (Dalston) or at New River Studios (Manor House/Tottenham).

A lesson can be either 45 mins or an hour.
