About Angelica

Hi, I’m Angelica! I am a high-achieving student with a 4.0 GPA and extensive experience across a wide range of subjects, including mathematics, English, world and US history, psychology, and biology. I scored a 760 on the SAT Math section and have earned top scores (4s and 5s) in AP courses, giving me firsthand experience with advanced coursework, AP exams, and standardized testing. About the lesson

My goal as a tutor is to create a learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes, and developing confidence. I focus on making lessons interactive and personalized by adjusting my explanations and strategies based on each student’s needs. Instead of simply showing students how to solve a problem, I help them understand the reasoning behind each step so they can apply their knowledge independently. Each lesson is structured around the student’s goals. We begin by reviewing previous concepts, homework, or areas where the student may be struggling. From there, I introduce new material using clear explanations, examples, and guided practice. I encourage students to actively participate by explaining their thought process, which helps strengthen problem-solving skills and deeper understanding. As students improve, I gradually introduce more challenging questions to help them feel prepared for tests, assignments, and advanced coursework. For exam preparation, I incorporate practice questions, test-taking strategies, and methods for managing challenging problems efficiently. I help students identify patterns, avoid common mistakes, and build the confidence needed to approach exams successfully. My lessons are designed for students looking for support in subjects including Pre-Algebra, Geometry, Algebra I, Algebra II, Precalculus, AP Precalculus, SAT Math, SAT English, AP Biology, AP Psychology, AP U.S. History, and AP World History.
