About Oliver

Hi, I’m Ollie! I’ve always believed that maths becomes much easier when it’s explained in a way that works for you.

My interest in teaching comes from my own experience. When I struggled with maths, my brother would take the time to sit down with me and work through problems step by step. He found ways to simplify things and explain them differently, which helped me understand concepts that I had previously found difficult.

I realised that I simply learned differently from other people, and having someone who was willing to adapt their teaching style made a huge difference to my confidence and understanding.

That experience is a big part of why I want to teach. I want to give my students the same feeling of having someone beside them who is willing to slow things down, explain things differently and find an approach that works for them.

My goal isn’t just to teach students how to find the right answer. It’s to help them understand why the answer is right, build their confidence and show them that struggling with maths doesn’t mean they can’t be good at it.

Everyone learns differently — and I want my lessons to reflect that.

Struggling with maths or want to take your skills to the next level? My lessons are designed to make maths clear, understandable and much less intimidating.

I teach:

Arithmetic – Build a strong foundation in numbers, calculations, fractions, percentages and problem-solving.

Geometry – Understand shapes, angles, measurements, area, perimeter and more through simple, easy-to-follow explanations.

Statistics – Learn how to confidently work with data, averages, graphs, probability and statistical problems.

My lessons focus on understanding rather than memorising. I break challenging topics down into manageable steps, work through examples with you, and help you develop the confidence to tackle problems independently.

Whether you’re struggling with the basics, preparing for an exam, or simply want to improve your maths skills, I’m here to help you turn confusion into confidence.
