About Marika
Originally from Italy, I hold a PhD in Molecular Biology and I currently work as a Teaching Fellow in Aberdeen. With extensive teaching experience in academia, I have decided to channel my passion for languages and my tutoring skills into teaching my native language: Italian.

With a student-centred approach, my lessons are dynamic and engaging, prioritising active participation. I focus on grammar, speaking, and listening skills, offering ample opportunities for practice. Each lesson typically lasts 1 hour and is designed for those studying Italian as a hobby or seeking to improve their language skills. Marika was very helpful with explaining the basics of italian in clear and concise way. As she is a native speaker, she was especially good with helping with my pronunciation (which no textbook can really do :)) She also taught me lot not just about language but also about italian culture and traditions.
