About Oindrila
I study civil and environmental engineering at the University of Alberta, with a quiet fascination for how systems hold together sustainably and where they fail. Moving between places shaped how I observe, question, and adapt.
Mentoring has been a consistent part of my academic life, and I value creating an environment where students can think openly, question freely, and develop a stronger sense of direction in their learning.

Throughout my undergraduate years at the University of Alberta, I spent much of my time working and volunteering in online learning spaces of DiscoverE and fem+ Mentorship. Most of that time was simply spent alongside students, thinking through ideas with them and helping concepts become clear in ways that felt natural and unforced.
What has always interested me most is the moment understanding settles in, not only of the subject itself, but of how a person learns. Each student develops patterns in attention, reasoning, and recall. When those patterns are recognized and refined, learning becomes more coherent and far less mechanical.
My approach is steady, attentive, and shaped by the individual in front of me. Some students look for structure, others for dialogue, and some need time to reorganize how they approach studying altogether. I pay close attention to these differences and adjust accordingly, allowing progress to emerge with clarity rather than pressure.
