About Lily

Being able to tutor you would be an amazing opportunity for me to not only solidify and continue improving my knowledge in English Literature and Language, but to also inspire young children to pursue their passions within this subject.

As a child I had dreamt of writing stories, being published in books, and becoming a poet, but there is so much more to being confident within your English abilities that you may not have even thought about! I am here to help guide you through every little step, and am happy to answer any questions you may have. Big or small!

Personally, I am heavily interested in the arts. I adore drawing, painting, sculpting, and creating intricate illustrations. But none of this would be possible without my deep understanding of English. You can take great inspiration from varying authors and poets!

Many of your future career options will require you to have a deep understanding of English Literature and Language and I am eager to help you get there!

As a volunteer for Hart and Rushmoor Young Carers, I have helped many young children, aged between six to twelve, complete different homework tasks set by their teachers that they need extra support to complete, as their personal tutors may confuse and overcomplicate simple methods and ideas that are vital for them to exceed within English.

Due to my prior experience with these children aged between six to twelve, my lessons would be more targeted towards these students. However I would happily cater to those wanting to gain more knowledge at GCSE level! I am more than happy to help them through their course and help them with practice exam questions, as I have helped previous students at my secondary school work through exam questions and set homework tasks.

About the lesson

I am currently studying A-Level English Literature and Language after achieving a grade 9 in both English Literature and English Language at GCSE level. I was also graded a distinction for my oral speaking exam. I hope to gain some tutoring experience before continuing my studies at university.

All lessons should be immersive and inspiring, encouraging those individuals to pursue their passions and solidify their knowledge.

I believe that the environment in which people learn should always be supportive, safe, and most importantly positive.

Alongside this lessons should be approximately an hour long to ensure that the individual is able to fully focus on their work without feeling the need to give in to those surrounding distractions!
