About Christen
Having learned and spoken Spanish throughout most of my educational background, I am excited to share the tools and techniques I have learned. I believe in creating a student-centered learning environment that caters in each student's individual learning needs. Learning a second language has so much to do with building confidence and autonomy so that students feel they have the ability to mold the language and express their creativity when communicating. I personally believe that learning a second language such as Spanish opens up so many more opportunities and widens students' perspectives and knowledge regarding cultural diversity.

As I have experienced throughout my own learning experience, learning a second language should be as meaningful as it is informative. I encourage Spanish-language learners to use and reproduce the language as much as possible and to weave it into their everyday lives. Typical lessons include reviewing grammar and conjugations, while also spending extensive time practicing writing, reading comprehension, and speaking abilities. Having personally lived this experience, learning Spanish is a multifaceted process that should be equally exciting and illuminating. I have studied Spanish from a middle-school, high-school, and college level and can assist in the development of Spanish at those levels.
