About Cedric

So, as you've probably read before, I have both French and American citizenships. I had to learn French from scratch, immersed in French school, after having just learned to read and write in English. Which made me particularly good with languages. I was good in Spanish in school, and made it a 3rd fluent language spending 6 months in Bogota, for an academic semester abroad. That's when I was studying Networks and Telecom Engineering. Yes, because language teaching wasn't the first career area I had chosen. I'm only switching to it right now. I'm currently finishing my Master's degree in French Teaching as a Foreign Language, at the Université de Toulouse II Jean Jaurès, with an internship in the Alliance Française de Porto, a private French teaching institute in Porto, Portugal. As I have a bit of spare time, I decided to make good use of it and gain more experience, and some pocket money here on Superprof! As I haven't graduated yet, I'm cheaper - take advantage of it!!

About the lesson

My classes are the perfect balance between work and fun. No pressure, but lots of motivation. Tell me all about you, about why you want to learn French, what your job and hobbies are, what other languages you speak, and I'll make my class perfectly adapted to your profile, no matter your level. I've been trained in French Teaching with the Communicative Methodology, meaning your learning will be centered around acquiring communicative skills (introducing yourself, ordering something at the boulangerie, being able to talk about what you do on the weekends, etc.). Grammar will of course be taught as well (no way around it if you want to express yourself correctly!): whatever linguistic phenomenon of the French language appearing in a specific communication performance is then studied on the side, putting you in the position of understanding the mechanism yourself.
