About Zihan
I am a student from The University of Melbourne, currently enrolled in Master of Teaching in Early Childhood and Primary. I have a bachelor degree in civil engineering in the University of Connecticut (in the USA).
Mandarin is my Native language. I am a fluent English speaker and can communicate in Japanese.
I have worked as online oral English teacher for one year, teaching Chinese students English.

My teaching philosophy is that all students are capable learners. It is important for me as an educator to understand my students and their zone of proximal development. I try to individualise curriculum for my students based on their personal needs and interests.
I understand the importance of learning in the 21st century. I try to provide multimodal teaching and learning, in order to help students construct knowledge through the cycle of experiencing, conceptualising, analysing and applying (the pedagogy of multiliteracies).
