About Anna

Hello and welcome! My name is Anna and I speak Italian and German as a native speaker, as I grew up bilingually in Italy: my father is Italian and my mother is German. Not only am I bilingual, I also have both nationalities.

I hold a Masters (Laurea) in Foreign Languages from the University of Turin, I have 30 years of experience teaching at any level, online and offline, privately and in language schools.

I love animals, I am a cat lover, a passionate jewelry artist, an enthusiast of Ancient Egypt (I studied Egyptology for a year), I love nature and walking in the forests and mountains of my beautiful Piedmont. I'm very interested in Mindfulness and meditation, and part of my life takes place on a Greek island, where I help street cats.

Laurea (Master's Degree) – Foreign Languages (German Studies) – Università di Torino, 1992

During my University studies I also studied Egyptology as an elective for a year and I passed the final exam "summa cum laude" (with honors).

About the lesson

Would you like to know more about this fascinating civilization for your next visit to the Egyptian Museum or on a trip to Egypt? Then this course is just right for you!

For many years I lived in Turin, home to the world famous 'Museo Egizio', the oldest Egyptian museum in the world and still one of the most important in the world today. During my University studies in Foreign Languages and Literature, I also studied Egyptology for a year with Professor Silvio Curto, a very important Egyptologist who, in the 1960s, led the Italian mission for the international rescue of the temples endangered by the Lake Nasser dam. Ancient Egypt has remained one of my passions. If you are fascinated by Ancient Egypt, this is the course for you!

In this course we will take a virtual tour of the 'Museo Egizio' in Turin and we will talk about many fascinating topics such as Egyptian magic, deities, famous pharaohs, amulets, ancient Egyptian art and much more.
