Joshua is one of our best Biology tutors. High-quality profile and excellent qualifications, organised and responsive to lesson requests, appreciated by their students!

About Joshua

I’m Josh, a marine and conservation biologist from Cape Town. I’ve tutored biology at the University of the Western Cape, and over five years I’ve helped everyone from Grade 4 learners to university students.

Biology has a reputation for endless memorising. It doesn’t have to be like that. I teach with the Imaginative Learning System, the method I developed to learn complex subjects quickly. We picture each process, attach a story to it from the real organisms I’ve worked with, and practise recalling it until it holds up under exam pressure.

About the lesson

Who it’s for
- Grade 10–12 Life Sciences learners, including matric revision
- All levels of university biology, zoology and botany students
- Younger learners from Grade 4 who need a confidence boost

How a lesson works
- Picture it: we turn the topic into a "memory object" and memory palace together
- Story it: I link it to an analogy or a real story from my work as a biologist
- Recall it: you explain it back in your own words and pictures, then practise exam-style questions

“He can turn the most boring and longest topics into the funniest stories you have ever heard.” Tshepiso, student.

Review

All of our reviews are collected by us and are 100% reliable. They correspond to a real experience lived by the teacher's students.
