About Morgan

I've completed a bachelor's of psychological science, and I know how difficult it can be for new students to figure out even the basics of how to get great grades. I know this because I was a terrible first-year student. (Not a great selling point for a tutor, I know, but hear me out.) Over my studies, I struggled a lot in the first few years because I didn't know how to write assessments to the marking rubric, I didn't understand how to effectively study for exams or how to make the time I put into general study as effective as it could be. As a tutor, I want to offer to pass on the things I learned to those who could use it. The skills, tips, and tricks I picked up that made it so I could get my grades up from Ps to HDs by the end of my degree. If you are a newer student and feel like you would benefit from some tutoring, or if you are just having a hard time in a unit that doesn't have pass-assistance included, please don't hesitate to reach out and message me.

About the lesson

Through my experience in university, and extensive work in classrooms and as a private tutor, I have developed skills and understandings that have led me to specialize in helping people to develop their own skills. My goal is to build up my students' skills until they are so confident in their own abilities, that they don't even need a tutor anymore. Ideally, I want to help you adapt and grow to meet the challenge of university-level assessments, and learn the skills you will need to do the best you can do each and every time. Most lessons will begin with me checking in with you about specifically what you would like help with, so we can focus and spend our time and attention working on exactly what you want to be learning. If you just need help and aren't sure what kind you need, I often suggest that students provide a copy of their classwork and coursework in order to help me to ensure that each lesson is as helpful and productive as possible. Many of my previous and current students have come to me, struggling with university-level assessments, and not having any understanding of what the assessment is actually asking them to write about. In these situations, I work alongside you, helping you to understand complex concepts, breaking down difficult-to-comprehend ideas into simple and engaging points in ways that make them easier to understand. I also focus on helping you to learn the structure of university-level assessments, including how they are marked, how they should be written, and how to improve your grades significantly. This is key for a lot of students and I have had great success especially with supporting people to greatly improve their grades for exams and written assessments such as essays, literature reviews, and research reports. In order to adapt to your needs, tutoring sessions are booked hourly. To suit the needs of a busy student, or even someone who studies while working a day job, I can work flexibly around your schedule. I also offer my lessons through a range of online communication tools! Available platforms for online tutoring include Zoom, Skype, Discord, Teamspeak, or even Facebook call. I can adapt my lesson plans and tutoring to meet your needs.

With university graduate-level support and more than 5 years of experience in tutoring, combined with empathetic, comprehensive, holistic support delivered in a flexible and client-focused way, my prices are very reasonably priced. I do not offer tutoring for statistical analysis units. In-person lessons are booked in 4-hour blocks.
