About Rebeca

I have a strong background in math and STEM, beginning in high school where I participated in the robotics team, completed IB Math, and was a member of the Math Honor Society. I earned my Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering from Texas A&M University and my Master of Science in Data Engineering from SMU, and I have 5+ years of experience working as a Data Engineer in the tech industry. My academic and professional experience has given me a strong foundation in math, analytical thinking, and problem-solving. I bring a patient, structured, and encouraging approach to tutoring, with a focus on making math easier to understand and helping students build confidence in foundational concepts.

About the lesson

My lessons are designed especially for younger students who are developing their foundational math skills. I focus on arithmetic and introductory concepts such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, fractions, decimals, and basic problem-solving. Using clear, step-by-step explanations and personalized practice, I aim to make math approachable and engaging while helping each student build confidence and progress at their own pace.
