About Christina
I am a passionate biologist with over 12 years of biology teaching experience, and a lifetime of biological inquiry and learning under my belt. I have worked with students of all backgrounds and experience levels to help them unlock the wonders of the living world, and enjoy learning it! In my spare time I enjoy bird watching, field herpetology, wildlife photography, and tracking. It is safe to say that biological inquiry is present in all areas of my life! Students can expect a fresh and approachable lessons taught with patience and positivity. I don't believe there is such a thing as a "stupid question", ALL inquiry, even fundamental inquiry, moves us forward.

My strength as a professor lies in making very complex principles approachable through analogy and application. Most students have more familiarity with biology than they might think based on their lived experience, and I am here to help them unlock that! I am also extremely passionate about the subjects I teach and my personal interest and enthusiasm helps me to keep instruction fresh and interesting, never dry. I prefer to teach whiteboard-style, by drawing and writing out concepts step-by-step. My lessons are primarily for undergraduates pursuing biology as a major, or undergraduates aiming for careers in health care. I can also instruct post-baccalaureate students and graduate students depending on the subject matter.
