About Michael

Hello All!

I am a tenured New York City Department of Education teacher and New York State Certified Special Education Teacher with extensive experience helping students from elementary through high school achieve measurable academic growth. I specialize in reading comprehension, writing, English Language Arts, social studies, executive functioning, essay writing, resume building, study skills, test prep, life coaching, and academic support for students with ADHD, Autism, and learning differences.

My teaching philosophy is centered on empowering students to build confidence, develop independence, and achieve lasting academic success. Because every student learns differently, I create individualized learning plans that leverage each student's strengths while addressing areas for growth. Whether a student is working to raise grades, strengthen reading and writing skills, prepare for exams, improve organization and time management, or craft standout college application essays, I provide targeted instruction and proven strategies that lead to meaningful results and increased self-confidence.

As a classroom teacher, I bring real-world educational expertise, patience, and a results-driven approach focused on helping students overcome challenges, reach their academic goals, and become successful, self-directed learners both inside and outside the classroom.

About the lesson

My name is Michael, and I am currently a "Tenured New York City Department of Education" teacher and am "New York State Certified - Special Education (7-12)" with experience working with students in elementary, middle, and high school. I graduated with a Master of Education with honors.

I am able to dig deep and see things other teachers cannot to ensure the best approach to working with a student. I will make sure I dedicate and commit to the time that you or your child want to work with me. Throughout my time as an educator, I have helped my students make consistent gains in all areas of education. As an educator, it is not only my job to teach, but to be a positive role model to all of my students.

I have access to different curriculums and texts to best support you or your child's needs.

Whether your child is struggling academically, looking to improve grades, develop executive functioning skills, prepare for college, seeking special education services, needs test prep, or looking to become a stronger writer, I can help create a personalized plan to help them reach their goals.

Other than English, I teach "Social Studies", work as a life coach, and have worked with many students when it comes to test preparation, college essays, and resume building.

I take a multi-faceted approach to education and understand that students learn in a multitude of ways. I make sure I get to know my clients on an intrinsic level to help them reach their full potential
