About Jolene
I am a 42-year-old woman from South Africa with a Level 5 TEFL diploma, as well as a bachelor's degree. I spent 20 years in retail, sales and store management. It provided me with so many important skills such as computer skills, customer service, time-management, training and hiring new staff, and I thoroughly enjoyed meeting and working with different cultures. I decided I had reached my peak in that career, and do something I was truly passionate about. I find teaching is very rewarding and exciting to do. It serves an important purpose and helps many people to progress in their careers and possibly their daily life. I volunteer in my spare time and am dedicated to helping others. I am highly professional, dedicated and make my lessons engaging and fun.

I focus solely on teaching to various levels of students. My focus is to understand their proficiency in English and adapt my lessons according to each student's requirements. Vocabulary, pronunciation, speaking, writing, preparation for interviews and writing professional CVs. I always prepare my lessons structured on what the student wants to focus on or the various things they would particularly like to improve on. I prefer one-on-one lessons with older students. I am, however, flexible and am available at most times that are suitable for various time zone differences and convenience.
