Hi, I’m Layla—a friendly, warm, and caring TEFL-certified English tutor with a genuine love for people, learning, and connection. I’ve always believed that language is more than words; it’s a way to share stories, build confidence, and open doors. As a natural people person, I thrive on creating a relaxed, encouraging space where my students feel seen, supported, and excited to learn. About the lesson

As a TEFL-certified tutor, I believe learning English should be both enjoyable and empowering. My teaching style is relaxed, creative, and student-centered—every lesson is designed around your pace, goals, and interests. I love using conversation, storytelling, and real-life examples to make the language come alive, rather than just memorizing rules.

I bring in elements of creative writing, games, and interactive activities to help you think in English, not just translate it. My goal is to build your confidence—to help you express yourself naturally and actually enjoy the process of learning.

I’m fluent in English, and I can offer support and explanations in conversational Afrikaans if needed.

Each lesson blends structure with fun. We’ll warm up with casual conversation, practice key language skills (speaking, listening, reading, or writing), and wrap up with a creative exercise or reflection. I’ll give you personalized feedback and small, practical goals after each session to keep your progress visible and motivating.

My lessons are perfect for beginner to intermediate English learners, whether you’re studying for school, improving your workplace communication, or simply learning for travel and personal growth. I especially enjoy working with students who want to build confidence in speaking and writing.
