About Tracey

I am excited to bring my language teaching skills to any students learning English, of all levels and ages. I have completed the 120-hour TEFL certification, so am fully confident in how to deliver engaging lessons and ensure that all students progress with their skills. As a graduate of French and Italian, I know what it is like to learn a new language and maintain the learning process. I am approachable and friendly, calm and professional, engaging and able to explain lessons clearly.

I have the right skills and qualities to offer students a positive and successful tutoring experience. In particular I have worked for many years with young children as a registered childminder, so I understand the way that children learn. I also have experience working with college students and adults so I can adapt my lessons to what the student needs. I'm very flexible, and happy to discuss any options you would like to consider. I look forward to hearing from you!

About the lesson

My English (EFL, EAL, ESOL) lessons will be personally tailored to your requirements - together we will start by making a plan based around your goals and what you would like to focus on. The lessons will be well structured so you can be sure you know what we will be covering, and how we are working towards your goal of improving your English. Whether you want to cover grammar and vocabulary, or skills such as reading and writing, or you want to concentrate on conversation practice, I am happy to create a lesson that works for you.

I am calm and patient and able to explain tricky concepts in a clear way. My lessons are interesting and engaging, ensuring that anything you are struggling with can be tackled with confidence. I can make lessons fun with games and activities, or if you prefer a calmer learning approach that is fine too, I tailor lessons to the approach that works best for you.

Lessons can be 30 minutes or 60 minutes, online via a mutually convenient platform (Teams, Zoom, video call etc).

I have previously run a French conversation club for English primary school students, I have tutored Italian college students for their English literature studies, I have run English conversation classes for Italian taxi drivers, and I have tutored English mature students in Italian beginner lessons.
