About Laura

I’m a qualified English teacher with a passion for helping people build confidence and feel comfortable communicating in English. My journey into teaching began when I moved abroad and started working as an English teacher in Vietnam. That experience not only strengthened my teaching skills, but also gave me a real understanding of the challenges students face when learning a new language.

I hold two 120-hour TEFL certificates and have experience teaching both in the classroom and online, working with students of different ages and levels. I enjoy creating a relaxed and supportive learning environment where students feel at ease, as I believe this is key to building confidence and making real progress.

I want to teach English because I love connecting with people from different cultures and helping them achieve their personal goals, whether that’s improving conversation skills, preparing for travel, or advancing in their career. Seeing students grow in confidence and ability is what motivates me the most.

My aim is to make learning English enjoyable, practical, and suited to each individual, so you can feel more confident using English in real-life situations.

About the lesson

My teaching approach is student-centered, supportive, and tailored to each individual’s goals and learning style. I focus on building confidence in speaking while also developing grammar, vocabulary, and pronunciation in a natural and practical way. I like to use real-life topics, conversation practice, and interactive exercises to make lessons engaging and relevant. I create a relaxed environment where students feel comfortable making mistakes and learning at their own pace.

A typical lesson lasts 60 minutes. This allows enough time to practice speaking, review key language points, and introduce new material in a structured but relaxed way.

I hold two 120-hour TEFL certificates and have experience teaching English both online and in person. I previously lived in Vietnam, where I worked as an English teacher, teaching a range of students and levels. This experience helped me develop a flexible teaching style and the ability to adapt lessons to suit different learning needs and goals.

My lessons are suitable for beginners to intermediate learners, as well as anyone looking to improve their conversational English. I work with teenagers and adults who want to build confidence in speaking, improve their fluency, or develop their English for travel, work, or everyday communication.
