About Grace

Hello! My name is Grace, and I am from Canada.

I am a TEFL-certified English teacher with over 30 years of professional experience as an engineer and project manager working in international environments. Throughout my career, I have communicated with people from different cultures and understand the challenges of using English in real-life situations.

In addition to my professional background, I have been volunteering for several years helping newcomers improve their English conversation skills. I truly enjoy meeting people, supporting their learning journey, and helping them gain confidence in speaking English.

My teaching style is patient, supportive, and encouraging. I create a comfortable environment where you can practice without fear of making mistakes. I believe that learning should be both effective and enjoyable.

Outside of teaching, I enjoy traveling, yoga, and Tai Chi, and I appreciate connecting with people from different cultures.

About the lesson

I use a practical and supportive approach based on your goals. After understanding your needs, I create personalized lessons that may include conversation practice, role-plays, vocabulary building, and feedback on pronunciation and grammar. For professionals, I can also help with presentations, meetings, emails, and workplace communication.

A typical lesson includes guided conversation, targeted corrections, and useful expressions that you can apply immediately. I focus on helping you speak more naturally and confidently, not just learn rules.

What sets me apart is my real-world experience. I have worked for over 30 years as an engineer and project manager in international environments, so I understand the communication challenges professionals face. I bring this experience into my teaching to make lessons practical and relevant.

My lessons are best suited for adult learners, including beginners to advanced students, especially those who want to improve conversation, fluency, and professional English skills.
