About Iva

Hi, I’m Iva — a French coach helping adults build practical, confident French from beginner through advanced levels, with specialized preparation for the TEF Canada and TCF Canada exams. I hold an Honours BA in French Studies from York University and have over 10 years of experience in language education. I also work professionally in a bilingual English-French environment. Whether you’re learning French for everyday communication, professional goals, or Canadian immigration, my approach is structured and personalized to your current level and goals. For students preparing for TEF or TCF Canada, I also provide targeted exam coaching focused on the language skills, strategies and practice needed for exam day.

About the lesson

Lessons are designed for adult French learners from beginner to advanced levels. Depending on your goals, we can work on speaking, listening, grammar, vocabulary, pronunciation, writing and overall fluency. My approach combines structured language development with plenty of practical application, so you’re not simply learning grammar rules — you’re learning to use French confidently and independently. I also specialize in TEF Canada and TCF Canada preparation for students pursuing Canadian immigration goals. Exam preparation can include speaking simulations, writing correction, timed practice, exam strategy and targeted work on recurring errors. Each student receives personalized feedback and a clear focus based on their current level and next objective.
