I am a professional Software Engineer based right here in the Waterloo tech hub. Throughout my extensive career in the technology sector, I have heavily relied on mathematical logic to architecture, build, and deploy high-performance software environments.

I realized that many bright students struggle with math not because they lack capability, but because traditional classroom instructions often present equations as rigid, dry procedures. My goal is to leverage my real-world engineering experience to make mathematical patterns highly intuitive, clear, and functional.

Whether your child is a Grade 7 student navigating introductory variables or a Grade 12 student prepping for university calculus admissions, I offer patient, highly structured, and encouraging technical mentorship. I know exactly how to break down intimidating academic problems into small, achievable steps that ensure lasting success.

About the lesson

I provide high-impact, professional mathematics mentorship tailored to students in Grades 7 through 12. As an active software engineer, I don’t teach math as abstract formulas to memorize—I break down complex concepts into visual, intuitive, and highly logical steps.
Intermediate Mathematics (Grades 7 & 8):

Building Numerical Fluency: Transitioning from basic arithmetic to algebraic thinking, solving equations for variables, and mastering fractions, decimals, and ratios.

Spatial & Data Sense: Grasping geometric properties, coordinate grids, measurements, and introductory statistics.

High School Readiness: Ensuring a rock-solid mathematical foundation to reduce friction before entering Grade 9.

Secondary Academic Math (Grades 9 & 10):

Grade 9 & 10 Academic Streams: Mastering linear relations, systems of linear equations, analytic geometry, and introductory trigonometry.

Senior University Preparation Math (Grades 11 & 12):

Grade 11 Functions (MCR3U): Comprehensive tracking of quadratic functions, exponential growth models, and discrete sequences.

Grade 12 Advanced Functions (MHF4U): Deep dives into polynomial, rational, logarithmic, and trigonometric functions.

Grade 12 Calculus & Vectors (MCV4U): Mastering instantaneous rates of change, derivatives, curve sketching, and geometric vectors.

Grade 12 Data Management (MDM4U): Permutations, combinations, probability distributions, and core matrix logic.
