About Joseph
I am passionate about the subjects I have learned, so I want to share this passion and understanding with my students.
I believe that subjects taught in classrooms often teach how to simply answer exam questions, and neglect to teach a fundamental understanding of subjects. I believe that the latter is the most important aspect when aspiring for academic success.

First I aim to understand the students understanding of the topic of which I am tutoring. Once I have an awareness on this, I focus on areas that the tutee does not understand so well.
I value true understanding of the subject one is studying - rather than teaching students how to answer questions, I teach them all the fundamental theory to help them understand the problem. Once understanding is developed, we can then tackle questions with the necessary context.
I have experience tutoring from GCSE level maths to university level statistics.
Typical lessons are 1 hour in duration, but happy to extend longer.
