About Suguna

Hello, I’m Suguna, a passionate and dedicated B.Ed. qualified teacher with 11 years of teaching experience. I enjoy working with children and helping them build strong foundations in Tamil, English, and Phonics. I believe every child has a unique way of learning, and my goal is to make learning simple, enjoyable, and confidence-building. I love sharing my knowledge because seeing children improve their reading, communication, and language skills gives me great satisfaction. I am patient, friendly, and committed to supporting every student in achieving their learning goals.

About the lesson

I am Suguna, a B.Ed. qualified teacher with 11 years of teaching experience, specializing in Tamil, English, and Phonics for children from Grades 1 to 5. I also have 8 years of hands-on experience in Phonics instruction, with strong knowledge of the Jolly Phonics methodology.

My classes are designed to help children strengthen their language foundation, improve reading and writing skills, develop vocabulary, and communicate with greater confidence. In Tamil, I focus on reading, writing, vocabulary, grammar, pronunciation, comprehension, and basic communication. In English, I help students improve reading, spelling, vocabulary, grammar, pronunciation, comprehension, and spoken English. For students who need additional support in foundational reading, I use phonics-based techniques including sounds, blending, segmenting, tricky words, digraphs, and alternative spellings.

I follow a child-centered and activity-based teaching approach. Classes include a short revision, introduction of the new concept, interactive explanation, guided practice, individual activities, and a quick review at the end. I use stories, pictures, games, worksheets, reading activities, conversations, songs, and digital learning resources to make lessons interesting and easy for children to understand.

Every child learns differently, so I adjust my teaching pace and activities according to the student's age, learning level, strengths, and areas for improvement. My goal is to create a patient, friendly, and encouraging learning environment where children feel comfortable asking questions and learning from their mistakes.

My classes are ideal for students from Grades 1 to 5 who want to improve their Tamil, English, reading, writing, Phonics, grammar, vocabulary, comprehension, and communication skills.
