I use hands on, engaging lessons to make meaningful connections between subject matter and the student. A typical lesson would include a quick introduction to material to help students access any prior knowledge of the content, and then a short teacher portion (with checks for understanding throughout), a guided practice and an independent practice. I tailor my lessons to students in grades 3-5.
