About Samiya

Hello, my name is Samiya, and I’m here to help young learners excel in English! With a Bachelor’s degree in Criminology and Justice, six years of hands-on experience in childcare, and my current studies in Teacher’s College, I bring a unique blend of academic knowledge, practical experience, and a deep passion for teaching. My approach is centered around creating a positive and engaging environment where students feel confident and motivated to learn. I tailor every lesson to suit your child’s unique needs, focusing on building a strong foundation in reading, writing, grammar, and vocabulary, while incorporating fun and interactive techniques like storytelling, games, and creative exercises. About the lesson

As a tutor, I believe in creating a nurturing and engaging environment where kids feel comfortable expressing themselves and learning at their own pace. My teaching methodology focuses on interactive, hands-on learning, where I incorporate activities such as storytelling, role-playing, games, and visual aids to make lessons enjoyable and relatable. I prioritize building a strong foundation in vocabulary, grammar, reading, and writing, while also encouraging creativity and critical thinking. My typical lesson plan would begin with a fun and interactive activity to engage the child (e.g., a word game, icebreaker question, or short discussion about their favorite topic). moving onto introducing the main topic e.g., sentence structure, reading comprehension, or vocabulary with examples and simple explanations. I would also take the students participation very seriously i would engage the child in exercises tailored to their learning style, such as writing short sentences, answering questions, or participating in interactive activities.
With a degree in Criminology and Justice, six years of experience working with children, and my current training in teacher’s college, I bring a unique blend of academic knowledge, real-world experience, and a deep passion for helping kids succeed. My background in childcare has taught me patience, empathy, and the ability to connect with children from different backgrounds. I adapt my lessons to suit each child’s needs, making learning enjoyable while fostering a love for English.
My English lessons are designed for children from elementary to middle school levels, focusing on improving their reading, writing, speaking, and comprehension skills.
