About Fernanda

I’m a native Portuguese speaker and have been learning Spanish since I was 12 years old. My love for the language led me to study Spanish at university, and I also had the opportunity to live in Spain for a year, where I was able to immerse myself in the language and culture and further develop my skills.

I’ve now been teaching Spanish and Portuguese in secondary schools for three years. Working in schools has taught me that every student learns differently, and I’ve had plenty of experience adapting my teaching style, activities, and explanations to suit a wide range of learners.

Because of this, I feel confident creating lessons that are tailored to each individual student, whether you’re a complete beginner, looking to improve your conversation skills, or wanting to build your confidence and vocabulary. My goal is to make lessons enjoyable, supportive, and suited to the way you learn best.

About the lesson

Learning Spanish should feel personal, practical, and enjoyable. That’s why I tailor each lesson to your goals, interests, and learning style. I use a combination of books, activities, conversation practice, and engaging resources to keep lessons varied and meaningful.

I also use the “I do, we do, you do” approach to help you build confidence step by step. First, I model and explain the language, then we practice it together, and finally, you get the chance to use what you’ve learned independently. This gives you plenty of support while gradually helping you become more confident using Spanish on your own.

My lessons focus on developing your vocabulary, communication skills, and understanding of Spanish-speaking cultures. I provide personalized materials and activities based on your interests, so you’re learning Spanish that is relevant to you and your goals.

I also offer flexible scheduling to make learning fit into your routine, and I’m always happy to provide extra resources and support to help you continue practicing between lessons.

Ready to start your Spanish journey? Book your first lesson and let’s work together towards speaking Spanish with confidence!
