About Patrycja Wiktoria

My passion has always been history, with a grade 9 for GCSE, A for my history A-level and my degree in history from Lancaster University, I can guarantee that I understand how the subject can occasionally prove to be difficult for some students.

As a qualified teacher, I have worked with numerous classes throughout secondary schools, teaching both large classes and providing individualised support to students who require extra assistance to truly excel. Using my education in history and pedagogical theory, I hope to help any child achieve the grade that they deserve.

About the lesson

My approach to tutoring is heavily based on working backwards from the mark scheme so that the student understands exactly what to write to get the maximum number of marks while also allocating the perfect amount of time to each question. While also taking time each lesson to review past material as an effective revision technique.

A typical lesson would include a primary recap or learning of a topic and highlighting what is important to remember for an exam. Following this, a student would have time to try a practice question, either taken from a past paper or one I created. After the student completes the practice question under timed conditions, I would go through it with the student to underline where they succeeded and where they need more work. However, this is subject to change if the student needs more help understanding a specific topic; in that case, I would conform the lesson to the student's needs.
These lessons will be the perfect addition to students' normal A-level and GCSE history lessons.
