About Aaron
I hold an M.Ed. in Teaching English as a Second Language and have over a decade of classroom experience in the public school systems of New Jersey and Arizona. I have also taught English internationally in Indonesia and Mexico. I approach tutoring as a professional commitment. Sessions begin on time, communication is clear, and instruction is focused. My teaching method includes evaluating the student's prior knowledge of the subject material, explaining the topic in an age-appropriate manner, and guiding them through a structured progression of exercises. Lessons typically begin with directed practice, where I model the target skill and the student responds with support. This is followed by independent practice, where the student applies the skill with minimal prompting. I monitor for errors, clarify misunderstandings, and adjust the difficulty as needed.
What sets me apart as a tutor is my ability to adapt to each student’s pace and learning style.
My lessons are designed for adult learners, adolescents, and children at beginner to advanced ESL levels, including those preparing for academic writing, grammar mastery, pronunciation, or test prep.
