About Ashish
As an English graduate from the University of Hyderabad, I have long been involved with Literature and related fields.
Having worked as a video game news writer and interviewer has equipped me with valuable knowledge about different fields that an English undergraduate or graduate could work in.
Later on, I worked as a freelance editor where my role was to edit academic articles from a wide variety of disciplines within the Social Sciences, which helped improve my research skills and also acquainted me with research methodologies and skills required within these fields.
Finally, I also love reading and engaging with art and philosophy deeply while also critically analyzing them, and I hope to inspire a similar passion in my students.

My teaching methods would involve first getting the student interested in the subject matter before familiarizing them with the technical aspects involved.
A typical lesson plan would involve:
1. Ensuring that the basic content of the text is understood.
2. Situating the text in its appropriate cultural and historical context.
3. Briefly discussing the most relevant scholarly work on the text.
4. Making connections to other related texts
5. Critically analyzing the text from a diverse set of relevant theoretical/philosophical perspectives.
My familiarity and engagement with art that is both classical (Homer, Milton, Emerson, etc) and contemporary (Anime, video games, world cinema, etc) would allow me to help the student to perceive the myriad ways in which our consumption of culture informs our values and choices everyday. Furthermore, I could help them develop the required skills that would enable them to critically analyze and write about art and culture in both a semi-formal and academic way, depending on their requirements.
These lessons are for anyone interested in art and culture or for those who want help with writing and editing scholarly . I could also assist in research projects if required.
