About Jose
I am a first year student nurse at the University of Nottingham, I love my degree because of the amount of biology but also the in person patient care that is a major part of the learning I get to do. I love working with people and helping them when they are in need, which is why I would love to teach, sharing knowledge I have and helping someone achieve their goals is something I’m very passionate about. I love being outdoors and playing sports (especially netball) which I play most weeks, followed by a dominos takeaway because Italian food (especially pizza) is my favourite food.

I teach maths and algebra for students in year 7-11. My main focus is to ensure that the subject that I am teaching is not just learnt for a test and the forgotten, but learnt and understood. I myself often found that the way I was often taught at school wasn’t the best way to enhance my learning and achieve my best; and so I got a tutor who found the best way for me to learn. As a tutor it is my goal to teach people how they would like to be taught, so you can enjoy learning and not feel like you have to know it, but that you want to. Whether it’s practice questions, videos, live models or lot is reading, I aim to provide whatever I can to help students to learn
