About Ben
I went to a state school, and then did a degree at Imperial College and a PhD at the University of Sheffield. After that, I became a computer programmer for the National Health Service, and then the Ministry of Defence, as not many companies need a black hole specialist. While doing that I was a personal tutor for a neighbour, who got into the University of Cambridge, which was very rewarding and is the reason I'd like to continue doing personal tuition.

I usually start by asking my student what they've been studying in their lessons recently and whether they have any questions, and then go from there, which usually takes the whole lesson, referring to the syllabus, and then go from there.
