About Bella
Hi! I am Bella and I have been tutoring for several years now in subjects such as English, Math, French and Chemistry. I have been in your shoes once; I was once the student who never had it easy and who needed to put in hard work to get A's. I was always too shy and prideful to reach out for help, I feared embarrassment. Today, I realize how wrong and misinformed I had been about tutoring. I strive to provide a healthy and safe environment for all of my students. I want to be of help in the most appropriate way to each student. Recognizing that everyone learns differently, I will try my best to accommodate each student and to build the right study methods and schedule for each individual.

I prefer younger students (elementary/middle school) but I have no problem teaching high school students as well! I teach English, Math, Chemistry, and French. I like to give the student full control during a lesson where I am present to guide and aid them in their learning process (I would never do the work for the student, they have to make the bigger contribution to their assignments/school work, I am simply there to help them!). I will try to build a very understanding and communicative environment for the student in order for them to not feel shy, anxious, or belittled. I will work on a clear learning/studying system that is most convenient for the student's needs, and offer them new study methods (Pomodoro technique, active recall, practice problems, flashcards, etc.).
