About Elizabeth
I’m Elizabeth — an English teacher with sixteen years of experience teaching around the world. Wherever I’ve taught, from busy cities to quiet coastal towns, I’ve always brought the same calm, encouraging, and communicative approach to my lessons. Teaching has been my passion for as long as I can remember, and I still find it deeply rewarding to help students achieve their goals — whether that means going to university, earning a promotion, or simply feeling confident expressing themselves in English. Before becoming a teacher, I worked as a lawyer, having studied both English and Scots law. My legal background taught me the value of clear communication and precise language — skills I now pass on to my students every day. Outside the classroom, I’m a creative soul. I love singing with my ukulele, painting watercolours, swimming, and writing poetry. These passions help me stay balanced and bring a touch of creativity and warmth to my teaching style. For me, teaching isn’t just a profession — it’s a way to connect, to inspire, and to watch people grow into the confident communicators they’ve always wanted to be.

Hello! I’m Elizabeth — a relaxed, informative, and encouraging English teacher who specialises in helping business professionals and Cambridge exam students reach their goals with confidence. I also teach general English to people who would like to improve their fluency and accuracy. My lessons are communicative and practical, designed to build your grammar, vocabulary, and speaking skills in both business and general English contexts. Whether you want to prepare for a Cambridge exam (B1, B2, C1, or C2), deliver a successful presentation at work, or simply speak English more naturally and confidently, I’ll guide you every step of the way. I believe learning English should feel engaging and relevant, not stressful. My students often say they feel comfortable expressing themselves in class — and that’s when real progress happens. I’ve had the pleasure of teaching learners from many backgrounds and industries. One of my proudest moments as a teacher was seeing one of my students go on to speak at the United Nations — a wonderful reminder of how far confidence and clear communication can take you.
