About Iris
I love to draw and create aesthetically pleasing pieces because it gives me a sense of accomplishment and pride. Completing a series of works under my name uplifts my self-esteem and strengthens my outlook on the future. This joy and sense of aspiration is something I hope to share with you as your teacher. I teach my students how to draw by helping them identify the basic shapes in their subject and guiding them on how to connect those shapes to create cohesive drawings. For more advanced students, I introduce foundational anatomy to enhance their understanding of proportions and structure. Lessons often include coloring and sketching to create complete pieces, providing a well-rounded approach to art.
Each lesson typically lasts two hours, allowing ample time to focus on both the technical and creative aspects of drawing.
I hold a Band 6 in Design, was nominated for Shape for my excellence in Design and Technology, and currently work as an art tutor teaching sketching and acrylic painting to K-6 students. These experiences have equipped me with the skills and understanding to effectively nurture creativity and improve artistic techniques.
My lessons are tailored for primary school students and high schoolers who want to upgrade their art skills, whether for personal growth or to enhance their school projects. I aim to create a supportive and engaging environment for budding artists of all levels.
