About Saumya

I'm a TISS alumna and DELF B1 Certified French tutor with Alliance Française teaching experience and a national finalist in French Read-Aloud. I teach school children (grades 1–12, all curricula), exam candidates (GCSE, CBSE, ICSE), and adults from absolute beginner to intermediate level. My approach is communicative and confidence-first—I build real fluency through dialogue, authentic materials, and cultural immersion rather than grammar drills. Whether you're preparing for exams or learning to speak naturally, I tailor each lesson to your goals, meet you where you are, and focus on making French feel relevant and enjoyable. I've been selected as Assistant de Français 2024, and every lesson reflects my commitment to helping learners not just learn French, but actually feel capable and confident using it.

About the lesson

Each session follows a flexible rhythm: warm-up conversation to build ease, targeted skill-building (grammar, pronunciation, or vocabulary in context), interactive practice through role-plays or discussions, and reflection. For exam-focused students (GCSE, CBSE, ICSE), I layer in structured exam strategies and past papers. For beginners, I keep lessons playful and short-win focused—celebration matters. Sessions typically run 45–60 minutes, online, scheduled around your rhythm.

What Sets Me Apart

My Alliance Française teaching background means I know how to handle cultural nuance alongside language. I'm a national finalist in French Read-Aloud, which isn't just a credential—it means I teach pronunciation and intonation musically, so French sounds natural, not robotic. I also design lessons individually; no templated scripts. Whether you're a shy 9-year-old or a busy adult, I meet you where you are and build from confidence, not correction.

For Whom

School children (grades 1–12, all curricula), exam candidates (GCSE, CBSE, ICSE), college-level learners, and adults of any age—from absolute beginners (A1) onwards. Whether your goal is fluency, exams, or just enjoying French, there's a path here.
