About Jacob
I'm 26 years old, have practiced Taekwondo for 17 years, and was taught by the "Living Legend of Korea" (The highest ranking female Grand Master in the world; a US Olympic Coach in Taekwondo). I taught for her for about 10 years. I'm a practicioner in traditional competition, including "Forms" and skills (High Kick, Breaking, etc.) -- this includes National/International Champ in Forms/skills competitions. I am an avid self-defense advocate and believe that all people should learn how to defend themselves. To this end, I teach "Sparring" (contact fighting) and defensive procedures/maneuvers. I teach 12+ years old most effectively (and have plenty of experience -- I'm also a Middle School/High School teacher!).

I believe in working from the ground up -- patience, practice, and perseverance. I do believe in contact fighting -- defense, by nature, is full contact; if one does not practice it this way, one will not be prepared for actual fighting when the time comes. I believe in being tough, even through adversity. We perfect one thing before we move on to the next thing -- perfect practice makes perfect.

Details
For higher level students, I tend to charge slightly more -- negotiable, however. My cancellation policy is a 24-hour notice. If cancelled with less than 24-hours, I charge half-cost of a class. Rebooking is available for free if notified with 24-hour notice.
