About Shravan
I have performed alongside leading music artists from South India, and am adept in Hindustani (North-Indian) and Carnatic (South-Indian) styles of Tabla, with nearly 20 years of experience. I have taught both children and adults for the past 7 years. I am flexible to suit the student's interests; some want to learn the Tabla in order to accompany songs, in which case we can accelerate your learning down that path. Others wish to do Tabla exams, and I have successfully trained students for these too.

I am passionate about teaching both solo and accompaniment of songs, ranging from Classical to Film music. All notes are fully digitised on our free website, which will make it easy for you to follow everything in one place. I can teach a mixture of North-Indian and South-Indian styles of playing depending on the learner's interests. I aim to make lessons engaging, and hence I ensure lessons are composition-based, as opposed to extensive hand practices and exercises. From the very first lesson, you will learn how to play a Kayda, the main type of composition on the Tabla.
