About Benjamin
I am an aerospace engineering student with A Levels in Maths, Physics, Geography and General Studies. I am new to delivering classroom instruction but as a keen sailor (and a member of the RAF Volunteer Reserve), I have had taught people of mixed ability to sail and I am familiar with the principles of teaching and learning.

In the mathematics sphere, I will identify the student's needs. Some students are looking for supervised practice where my role will be to create comprehensive exercises which will allow the student to practice, grow confidence and to expand their competence. Some students may seek help with a particular topic. My approach to students with those needs will be to demonstrate solving a problem by breaking it down into small and straight forward steps. I will highlight key points and then answer any questions. I will then introduce exercises in the topic area to the student, starting off easy and then progressing towards more complex problems. I will also be able to teach topics that the student has previously not been exposed to through a structured and engaging presentation with exercises throughout instruction.
