About Amaan
I'm currently studying Computer Science at the University of Surrey.
Before that, I got a Grade 9 in GCSE Maths and went on to study
Maths, Chemistry and Biology at A-level, so the content I teach is recent and the exam boards haven't changed much since I sat them.
I tutor because the way maths is taught in school often misses
the actual logic underneath the questions, and I remember the
specific moments where it finally clicked for me. My goal is to
get students to those moments faster than I got there myself.
Based in Aldershot, available for online and in-person lessons.

In our discovery call we work out exactly where they're stuck — exam technique, specific topics, confidence, or all three.
Then I build a tailored plan around that, not a one-size-fits-all curriculum. The goal isn't more sessions with me; it's getting students to the point where they can solve unfamiliar problems on their own.
Lessons are 60 minutes by default, online or in person (Hampshire based).
Students who struggle with maths almost always have the same problem: they've been taught methods without understanding what's actually going on underneath.
I start with the patterns first so the methods stop feeling like magic.
