My teaching method utilizes multimedia, role-playing and case studies. For example when going over consciousness as a topic we would watch a short clip from an anime, identify the psychological terms and concepts that can be drawn from this then go over local case studies. I believe that when student and tutor interact that's when the phenomenon "teaching" occurs. Therefore, I center our lessons around you the student. This is essential to making knowledge personal to you, filling your knowledge gaps from your perspective.
A typical lesson plan:
1. Guessing game. what do you know about this topic? Basic understanding of what you think the concept or theory is about.
2.Introduction of topic and review
(concealed information) Concept application from student's perspective
4.Closure
5.Assignment and homework (E.g taking an approach of how to explain the concept to a 5 year old )
6. Case studies on the subject
What sets me apart?
I am an open and fun tutor who takes an unorthodox approach to teaching. I am very creative and find niche ways to personally explain concepts and topics in ways that are directly personal and relevant to the students. My background in Philosophy makes it very easy to spot and correct errors and challenges to your learning process
