About Davis
I'm a graduate of Georgia Tech and was a substitute teacher for LAUSD middle and high schools for 10 years. I've also worked as a babysitter for all ages including help with homework. I always loved school, did well in school and still miss school. I loved being a substitute teacher because I helped students in all grades, in all subjects, at all levels. In teacher training I learned that we teach everything we know. Students should love reading stories as much as they love watching films. Our goal is to instill confidence, competence, independence and a lifelong love of learning.

I use the communicative method of teaching, encouraging students to do most of the talking. I like to give them plenty of opportunity to explain their work. Often students figure things out for themselves this way. Also I can explain or demonstrate the lessons they've been working on in a new way. I can help students of any level from elementary to high school. I am also an actor, so I'm not shy & very expressive, which seems to help with teaching. I try to always do my best and love inspiring others to do the same. I can tutor all subjects, all grades & all levels!
