About Owain

I have personally benefited from the rewarding feeling of growing in a language, making mistakes, and becoming a fluent French speaker. I know the highs and lows, how tough it can be to leave your comfort zone when trying to communicate in a different language. I spent two years doing volunteer work for my church in France, Belgium, and Luxembourg, where I spoke French all day every day. I know how emotionally draining and time consuming it can be to learn a new language, but I also have felt the beauty of discovering other languages and cultures, and can help you to have these experiences too.

About the lesson

The way to learn languages is by practicing with fluent speakers. I have lived in France for two years of my life, and have assisted my students to reach a fluent speaking proficiency in French in just three months of learning. As a student studying modern languages I have a passion for language learning, studying French from high school and into further education. I feel confident tutoring French learners at all levels, even up to university undergraduates.
