About Saksham
I am a Year 13 student at one of the most prestigious and highly-ranked secondary schools in the UK. I achieved 11 Grade 9s at GCSE, including Maths, Further Maths, and Triple Award Science. I scored an average of 99% on GCSE Maths and 97% on GCSE Further Maths.
I am currently studying the IB Diploma Programme, including the most difficult maths option of Maths Analysis & Approaches Higher Level, and am predicted to achieve the maximum possible score of 45 points.
I hold offers to study medicine at the University of Cambridge, Imperial College London, UCL and King's College London, achieving a 95th percentile score on the UCAT in 2025, including SJT band 1, and having successfully completed a variety of different interview styles.
I have tutored students in the past, providing weekly 1-2-1 tutoring across a variety of subjects, mainly focused on maths and sciences. I base my lessons primarily around practice questions, but do focus on particular areas if the student requests them, or if I deem that focus necessary given the student's performance. I try to keep lessons engaging and entertaining whilst also maintaining a focus on the task at hand. I believe that, excepting when a student may struggle to understand a particular concept or topic, practice is the best way to learn.
My style of teaching and explanation has been complimented by my prior students and peers, and I am ready and willing to adapt my teaching style to best suit the needs of each individual student. I believe that all students, regardless of what their exam scores may show, have great potential academically, and I strive to bring out the fruits of that potential in each and every student. I believe that hard work and constant focus is the only way to achieve success, and it is the recipe I myself have followed throughout my academic career.
I hold a clean enhanced DBS Certificate.

I applied to study Medicine in October of 2025, securing 5/5 offers, including Cambridge, Imperial College London, UCL and King's College London for Medicine, as well as to Queen Mary University of London (QMUL) for Biomedical Sciences, with my firm choice currently the University of Cambridge.
The summer before Year 13 is the most critical phase of an application for medicine. I was fortunate enough to have a wise and experienced guide throughout my medicine application, and I hope to be such a guide for my students too.
Having gone through the entire medicine application process in the most recent cycle,
I have experienced both MMI-style and Oxbridge style, science-focused panel interviews, and am in a unique position to advise students applying this cycle, from writing personal statements, to preparing for the UCAT, as well as for interviews.
I have first-hand experience of the changes to the UCAT this cycle, including the effects of the removal of the BMAT, giving me an intimate understanding of how to succeed in this space. I achieved 2320/2700 on the UCAT in summer 2025, equating to the 95th percentile, including a Band 1 on the Situational Judgement Test. This score allowed me to attain interviews at all of the universities I applied to.
I achieved 11 Grade 9s and one Grade 8 (English Literature) at GCSE, and have been predicted the maximum possible score of 45 points in the IB Diploma, equivalent to 4A* at A-Level.
