About Jolyon
I am a university student pursuing my teaching degree with a specialization in English literature.
I have experience teaching younger children (grades 2 and 3), as well as middle-school aged students.
Though, as a university student, highschool is not that distant a memory for me, I can assure you that this is what I am being trained to do, and the material taught in highschool is what I am most passionate about.
In addition to teaching experience, I have been writing creatively for most of my conscious life. I have had some poetry published and also won an award for my writing; and though neither of these were of much distinction, I hope they will reassure you when I offer to edit YOUR writing.

If you are a middle or highschool student looking for help with your English class, you’ve likely come to the right place.
I can help you with a variety of subjects, whether you are struggling to understand the material or whether you simply want another pair of eyes on an essay response. I am more than happy to do the following:
-explain your material in modern language, in terms that make the material just “Make Sense”
-help you figure out what “sticks out” to you, so that you can craft a personal and meaningful response to your material
-workshop essay / paragraph ideas and structure, and edit your writing (if you so desire)
-offer input on ventures of creative writing, and edits where requested / necessary
