About Joshua

I’ve worked with secondary students in my sixth form, predominantly teaching them how to draw through still life, and supported them with their GCSE and A-level art assignments. (I was able to do this because I was awarded with the ‘Top in nation Cambridge international awards’ for Art and design.)

During that time, I gave private lessons to some adults who were interested in drawing and painting. I taught them oil painting predominantly, as it is my main medium.

I also worked in a Kindergarten as an art teacher for work experience.

According to my parents, I loved drawing and making things since a very young age. Therefore I was put on extracurricular academies and received private tutoring by the age of 7 until I graduated highschool. Given so much education in various ways for so long, I know what a student needs.

Now I’m a student In UAL, majoring in painting. I’m also currently preparing for my summer exhibition in Korea.

About the lesson

Finding personal language within your art is very important. However, technical skills that are required prior to develop that language are often overlooked.

I’m here to refine your technical skills as well as guide you to finding that artistic language.

Who my lessons are for:
- GCSE students
- A-Level students
- Adults
- Children

How my lessons work:
For GCSE and A-Level students: Guidance for high attainment.
- Feedback on your work
- Improving areas that needs further developing within them (ex: separate drawing classes, colour theory etc)
- Feedback on your writing
*I don’t take photography students unfortunately.*

For adults:
- Guidance and development of your personal interests. (Ex: painting portraits with oils). We’ll create what you want to create.
- Along that, I will teach you what you need to learn to get better at it. (Ex. Skills required for painting portraits with oils: Drawing skills of 3D shapes, colour theory etc.)

For children:
- Exploring a wide range of creative endeavors.
- Making fun things!
- teaching them how fun art can be.
