About Max

I am Maxangelo Fenwick, a state school educated language and literature enthusiast from Haywards Heath, Sussex, raised in Kingston Upon Hull. I am a lover of History, ranging from Early Modern and Medieval French to Chinese Dynasties. I enjoy hiking in my spare time, having climbed the Tegelberg in Bavaria as well as various spots around Oxfordshire when I'm not studying. I am a prolific musician playing in Magdalen College, Oxford's Orchestra as well as joining bands for occasions such as Garden Parties or Balls. In addition, I am active in the Oxford dramatic scene having recently played Antonio in Magdalen College's Production of Shakespeare's The Tempest.

About the lesson

I have gained a reputation for my quick ability to discuss the etymology of certain words in an accessible and engaging way using both the true definitions of words as well as memorable catchphrases which make the often laborious process of vocabulary learning something which is stimulating, realisable as well as enjoyable. My approach to grammar is similar. Through precise exercises I aim to conduct lessons which are rewarding as well as stimulating. I believe that after having gained experience teaching at my Alma Mater in 2024 as well as teaching at the top universities in GuiZhou, China in 2025 I have developed skills in teaching which enable me to be a concise, confident and efficient Pedagogue. The lessons may be tailored towards any ability from GCSE to first year University but I believe I would be most comfortable instructing A-level students since I remain relatively familiar with the course structure and its requirements.
