About Duván Felipe
I am studying the last subjects of the degree in Philology and Languages with an emphasis in French from the National University of Colombia. I have been a private teacher of French, English and Spanish for 3 years. In 2017-2018 I did an academic exchange and some trips in Europe that allowed me to have a first-person cultural experience and include aspects of current French daily life in my teaching method. I have prepared people with personal and labor migration projects to Canada, with whom we have worked and succeeded in the preparation and presentation of exams of levels A1, A2, B1 and B2. Today I prepare to obtain my DALF C2 certification, graduate and continue fulfilling the purposes that I am passionate about.

The main objective of my method of work is to progressively build written and oral communicative skills based on the mother tongue and the way in which the student understands the faculty of language and communication. This not only allows me to make the learning of the language in question more practical, but also to provide tools to better understand the mother tongue. In the medium and long term, the result is an improvement in the development of cognitive flexibility, linguistic sensitivity, critical thinking and the expression of emotions. I make a selection of updated professional work material and combine it with authentic documents. I myself supply this material and the topics I present in a structured way taking into account the strengths, weaknesses and needs of each student. Each session is composed of a theoretical part and a practical part to solidify the acquired knowledge. Additionally, I can provide extra support material to work autonomously outside of class.
